Soil Vapor Extraction Unit

Soil Vapor Extraction Unit

Several years ago, the State of Michigan’s Department of Environmental Quality approached Mineral Masters to engineer a solution to help remediate BTEX contamination in groundwater. With many sites requiring remediation, the state needed a portable trailer unit that vacuumed the contamination out of the soil using a vapor collection system, which transforms the contamination into carbon dioxide. The state needed an easy way to go from site to site, even though the trailer might stay at one site for a year or more.

In partnership with an engineering firm, Mineral Masters assisted with the design of the system and manufactured the portable trailer. Mineral Masters showed up to design and implement a system that solved an environmental problem across multiple sites.

Great projects

To solve complex waste water and fluids issues often requires a combination of chemistry, mechanical engineering, and on site installation of the new system. Here are four great projects that solved nagging compliance problems.
